A method for hydrogenating aromatic polymers in the presence of catalysts, whereby a metal or mixture of metals from sub-group VIII of the periodic table of elements is used together with an aluminium oxide support and the pore volume of the pore diameter of the catalyst ranges from 1000-10000 .ANG. when measured according to quicksilver porosimetry, generally representing 100-15 % in relation to the overall pore volume when measured according to posimetry.
Procédé d'hydrogénation de polymères aromatiques en présence de catalyseurs, selon lequel le catalyseur utilisé est un métal ou mélange de métaux du sous-groupe VIII du tableau de classification périodique, sur un support d'oxyde d'aluminium. Le volume des pores du catalyseur dont le diamètre va de 1000 à 10000 .ANG., mesuré à l'aide de la porosimétrie à mercure, représente en général 100 à 15 % du volume total des pores, mesuré à l'aide de la porosimétrie à mercure.
