The invention relates to a method for catalytically hydrogenating carboxylic acids or the anhydrides or esters thereof into alcohol on heterogeneous catalysts containing hydrogenating elements of groups 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 and optionally groups 2, 14 and 15 of the periodic table of elements or consisting thereof, in a liquid phase at temperatures of 100-300 ~C and at pressures of 10-300 bars, whereby 1-3,000 ppm of a basic alkali or earth- alkaline compound in relation to the liquid hydrogenating feed and selected from a group consisting of hydroxides, carbonates, carboxylates and alcoholates is added to the hydrogenating reaction mixture.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'hydrogénation catalytique d'acides carboxyliques ou de leurs anhydrides ou esters en alcools sur des catalyseurs hétérogènes qui contiennent des éléments à effet hydrogénant des groupes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 et 11, et éventuellement des groupes 2, 14 et 15 de la classification périodique des éléments, ou bien sont constitués de ceux-ci, en phase liquide, à des températures pouvant aller de 100 à 300 ·C et des pressions de 10 à 300 bar. Selon ledit procédé, on ajoute au mélange réactionnel d'hydrogénation, par rapport à la substance liquide à hydrogéner, de 1 à 3000 ppm d'un composé basique alcalin ou alcalino-terreux choisi dans le groupe constitué des hydroxydes, des carbonates, des carboxylates et des alcoholates.
