A protein having a function of a G-protein-coupled receptor and a gene encoding the protein are now found. Thus, disclosed are: a method for identifying a compound having an antianxiety effect, which is an inhibitor of the function of the protein; a agent and a method for ameliorating an anxiety condition; a method and an agent for preventing and/or treating anxiety disorder; and a determination method for use in the diagnosis of anxiety disorder and a diagnosis method for anxiety disorder, each of which is characterized by using at least one member selected from DNA comprising a nucleotide sequence for the gene, a chain complementary to the DNA, a homologue of the DNA, a protein encoded by the DNA and a cell capable of expressing a protein encoded by the DNA.

L'invention concerne : un procédé d'identification d'un composé ayant un effet anxiolytique, ledit composé étant un inhibiteur de la fonction de la protéine ; un agent et un procédé d'amélioration de l'anxiété ; un procédé et un agent de prévention et/ou de traitement de l'anxiété ; et un procédé de détermination utilisable pour le diagnostic de l'anxiété et un procédé de diagnostic de l'anxiété, caractérisés chacun par l'utilisation d'au moins un élément choisi parmi un ADN comprenant une séquence nucléotidique du gène, une chaîne complémentaire de l'ADN, un homologue de l'ADN, une protéine codée par l'ADN et une cellule capable d'exprimer une protéine codée par l'ADN.
