Disclosed is a method for imaging a subterranean formation traversed by a wellbore using a tool comprising a transmitter for transmitting electromagnetic signals through the formation and a receiver for detecting response signals. In the method the tool is brought to a first position inside the wellbore, after which the transmitter is energized to propagate an electromagnetic signal into the formation. A response signal that has propagated through the formation is detected, and a derived quantity for the formation is calculated based on the detected response signal for the formation. The derived quantity for the formation is plotted against time. The tool is moved to at least one other position within the wellbore and the procedure above is repeated. Then an image of the formation within the subterranean formation is created based on the plots resulting from the repeated procedure above.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'imagerie d'une formation souterraine traversée par un forage de puits à l'aide d'un outil comprenant un émetteur pour émettre des signaux électromagnétiques à travers la formation et un récepteur pour détecter des signaux de réponse. Dans le procédé, l'outil est amené à une première position dans le forage de puits, après quoi l'émetteur est alimenté pour propager un signal électromagnétique dans la formation. Un signal de réponse qui s'est propagé à travers la formation est détecté, et une quantité dérivée pour la formation est calculée sur la base du signal de réponse détecté pour la formation. La quantité dérivée pour la formation est tracée en fonction du temps. L'outil est déplacer vers au moins une autre position dans le forage de puits et la procédure ci-dessus est répétée. Puis une image de la formation dans la formation souterraine est créée sur la base des tracés résultant de la procédure répétée ci-dessus.
