A method for selectively closing pores in a formation's zone of greater permeability. A rehealable Xanthan or Alcaligenes biopolymer in an aqueous medium is combined with an organic or transition metal cross-linker which forms a first stage selective ex-situ gel. Second stage non-selective gel precursors are also included. The second stage gel comprises a polymer cross-linked with organic cross-linkers so as to form an in-situ gel more able to withstand formation conditions. The combination is injected into a formation after the first stage gel forms where it selectively enters a zone of greater permeability carrying therewith said non-selective gel. Once in the formation's zone of greater permeability, the gel reheals and forms a rigid gel having the desirable characteristics of the non-selective gel.
Méthode pour boucher sélectivement des pores dans une zone de plus grande perméabilité dans une formation. Un biopolymère regélifiable de xanthane ou d'Alcaligenes dans un milieu aqueux est combiné à un agent de réticulation organique ou à base d'un métal de transition qui forme un gel sélectif ex situ de première étape. Des précurseurs de gel non sélectif de seconde étape sont également compris. Le gel de seconde étape comprend un polymère réticulé avec un agent de réticulation organique de manière à former un gel in situ capable de mieux supporter les conditions de la formation. La combinaison est injectée, après formation du gel de première étape, dans une formation où elle pénètre sélectivement dans une zone de plus grande perméabilité en transportant avec elle ledit gel non sélectif. Une fois dans la zone de plus grande perméabilité de la formation, le gel se regélifie et forme un gel rigide ayant les caractéristiques recherchées d'un gel non sélectif.
