There is provided a method for improving optical purity of an amine compound of the formula I: (see fig. I) wherein R1 indicates a phenyl group which may be substituted or an aralkyl group having 7 to 10 carbon atoms which may be substituted, and R2 indicates an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, which is characterized by contacting a cutlture of a microorganism belonging to Arthrobacter having an ability to preferentially metabolize one optical isomer based on an asymmetric carbon atom to which an amino group bonds in the amine compound of the formula I or a treated product thereof with the amine compound of the formula I.
On divulgue une méthode pour améliorer la pureté optique d'un composé aminé de formule I : (voir fig. I) où R1 représente un groupe phényle qui peut être substitué ou un groupe aralkyle de 7 à 10 atomes de carbone qui peut être substitué, et R2 représente un groupe alkyle de 1 à 6 atomes de carbone, qui est caractérisé par la mise en contact d'une culture d'un microorganisme appartenant au genre Arthrobacter capable de métaboliser préférentiellement un isomère optique en raison de la présence d'un atome de carbone asymétrique auquel se lie un groupe amino du composé aminé de formule I ou un produit traité de ce dernier avec le composé aminé de formule I.
