ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Improved coolants for metal working operations of the con- ventional oil-based type are described, containing at least 15 ppm of an oil soluble polymer. These modified coolants adhere more effectively to the metal surface being worked and thus reduce splash and mist formation.
