Disclosed is a method for improving the durability, dimensional stability and surface hardness of a wooden body, wherein an untreated wooden body is impregnated with an aqueous solution consisting of A) an impregnating agent from the group of 1,3-bis(hydroxymethyl)-4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidinone-2, 1,3- bis(hydroxymethyl)-4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidinone-2, 1,3-dimethyl-4,5- dihydroxyimidazolidinone-2, dimethylol urea modified with a C1-5 alkohol, a polyol or mixtures thereof, bis(methoxymethyl) urea, tetramethylolacetylenediurea, 1,3-bis(hydroxymethyl)imidazolidinone-2, methylolmethyl urea or the mixtures thereof and B) consisting of a catalyst from the group of metal or ammonium salts, organic or inorganic acids or the mixtures thereof, and the wood and impregnating agent are subsequently reacted in humid conditions at high temperature.
L'invention concerne un procédé servant à améliorer la durabilité, la stabilité dimensionnelle et la dureté superficielle d'un corps en bois. Selon le procédé de l'invention, on imprègne un corps en bois non traité d'une solution aqueuse constituée A) d'un agent d'imprégnation du groupe 1,3-bis(hydroxyméthyl)-4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidinone-2, 1,3-bis(hydroxyméthyl)-4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidinone-2 modifié avec un alcool C¿1-5?, un polyol ou leurs mélanges, 1,3-diméthyl-4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidinone-2, diméthylol-urée, bis(méthoxyméthyl)urée, tétraméthylol-acétylène-diurée, 1,3-bis(hydroxyméthyl)imidazolidinone-2, méthylol-méthyl-urée ou leurs mélanges, ainsi que B) d'un catalyseur du groupe des sels métalliques ou d'ammonium, des acides organiques ou inorganiques ou de leurs mélanges. On fait ensuite réagir le bois et l'agent d'imprégnation en augmentant la température et en maintenant des conditions humides.
