The present invention is a method for efficiently incorporating a nitrogen containing methine light absorber into a polyester resin. The method includes forming a reaction mixture comprising combining a diol component, a diacid component selected from the group consisting of dicarboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acid derivatives, and mixtures thereof, an antimony containing compound, a phosphorus containing compound, a metal containing compound, and a nitrogen containing methine light absorber. The reaction mixture is polymerized in a polycondensation reaction system. In another embodiment the light absorber is added while the reaction products of one reactor are being transferred to the next reactor in the polycondensation reaction system. The present invention is also directed articles made from the polyester resin.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'incorporer efficacement un absorbeur de lumière de méthine contenant de l'azote dans une résine de polyester. Ledit procédé consiste à former un mélange de réaction comprenant un composant diol, un composant diacide sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par des acides dicarboxyliques, des dérivés d'acide dicarboxylique et des mélanges de ceux-ci, un composé contenant un antimoine, un composé contenant un phosphore, un composé contenant un métal et un absorbeur de lumière au méthine contenant de l'azote. Ledit mélange de réaction est polymérisé dans un système de réaction de polycondensation. Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l'invention, l'absorbeur de lumière est ajouté pendant que les produits de réaction provenant d'un réacteur sont transférés dans le réacteur suivant dans le système de réaction de polycondensation. L'invention concerne également des articles produits à partir de la résine de polyester.
