ABSTRACT A method for incorporating silicon atoms instead of aluminum atoms into the crystal lattice of a zeolite of the faujasite type with a halosilane at temperatures below 150°C and subsequent washing. The zeolites obtained are particularly suitable for the conversion of hydrocarbons, above all for cracking. They are noted for ultrastability and good activity.
