Abstract A method for treating sheer nylon hosiery to increase its useful wearing life comprises soaking the hosiery in an aqueous solution of aluminum sulfate, allowing the hosiery to air dry and then rinsing the hosiery at least twice in plain water. The treated hosiery exhibits resistance to the formation of runs as compared to untreated hosiery.
