The face (12) and the edge (14) of a gambling chip (10) with straight edge is marked with a graphic decorative pattern produced by ink pad printing using an ink pad whereof the deformable head (36) is compressed. The ink used comprises a transparent pad printing ink base curable at a setting temperature ranging between 60 and 100 ·C and sublimable coloured pigments. After the chip (10) has been marked by ink pad printing on the other face (13), it is placed in a heating chamber at 150 ·C to obtain sublimation of the coloured pigments.

L'encre utilisée comprend une base d'encre de tampographie transparente durcissable avec une température de durcissement comprise entre 60 et 100~C et des pigments colorés sublimables.
