ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a method and a device for separating meat from bones in meat processing. The method separates the meat from the one under pressure. The paste- like meat obtained from the process is substantially free of any bone fragments. The device is in the form of a press comprising a cylinder and a sliding press. Narrow perforations are provided in the cylinder wall to allow the paste-like meat to discharge from the cylinder. A large discharge opening is provided in the end of the cylinder opposite to the press. A closing member is provided at the discharge opening for selectively opening the discharge opening for removal of the remaining bones.
