A method wherein a radiolabelled compound is localized at a thrombus. Two- dimensional images, representing a physical property associated with the radiolabelled thrombus, are acquired and assembled into a three-dimensional matrix of data. The three-dimensional matrix of data is then scanned along an array of parallel lines to determine a maximum value along each line. The maximum value along each line is then assigned to a pixel in a two-dimensional array, where the relative position of the pixel in the two-dimensional array corresponds to the relative position of the line in the array of parallel lines.

L'invention concerne une méthode permettant de localiser un composé radiomarqué dans un thrombus. Deux images bidimensionnelles, représentant une propriété physique associée au thrombus radiomarqué, sont acquises et assemblées dans une matrice de données tridimensionnelle. La matrice de données tridimensionnelle est ensuite scannée le long d'un réseau de lignes parallèles afin de déterminer une valeur maximale le long de chaque ligne. La valeur maximale le long de chaque ligne est ensuite affectée à un pixel dans un réseau bidimensionnel, la position relative du pixel dans le réseau bidimensionnel correspondant à la position relative de la ligne dans le réseau de lignes parallèles.
