A method of highlighting a selected object in a 3D scene comprises: executing an off screen rendering software and, responsive thereto, generating a texture image containing an image of the visible parts of a selected object over a background color, and, in response to said texture image, executing an on screen rendering software in combination with a fragment shader software thereby drawing a silhouette of the selected object.

L'invention concerne un procédé de mise en valeur d'un objet sélectionné dans une scène tridimensionnelle comprenant les étapes consistant à : exécuter un logiciel de rendu hors écran et, en réponse à celle-ci, générer une image de texture contenant une image des parties visibles d'un objet sélectionné sur une couleur d'arrière-plan, et, en réponse à ladite image de texture, exécuter un logiciel de rendu sur écran en combinaison avec un logiciel nuanceur de fragments dessinant de ce fait une silhouette de l'objet sélectionné.
