The invention concerns contactless smart cards. In order to facilitate the fixing of an integrated circuit chip in a contactless smart card, and in particular the chip connection with the antenna incorporated in the card, the method consists in soldering on the chip contact pads (12a, 12b) a gold wire (30) with at least one end projecting above the chip. The wire (30) is preferably soldered while the chip is still part of a semiconductor wafer. The wire can be soldered between two contact pads on a common chip; it can also be soldered between two contact pads of two adjacent chips on the wafer and then sawed during dicing. When the chip is incorporated in the card, it is pressed against the antenna so that the soldered wire is contacted with the coiled or printed antenna feeder end.
L'invention concerne les cartes à puce sans contact. Pour faciliter le montage d'une puce de circuit intégré dans une carte à puce sans contact, et notamment la liaison de la puce avec une antenne incorporée à la carte, on prévoit selon l'invention de souder sur les plots de contact (12a, 12b) de la puce un fil d'or (30) dont une extrémité au moins reste en saillie au-dessus de la puce. Le fil (30) est de préférence soudé pendant que la puce fait encore partie d'une tranche semiconductrice. Le fil peut être soudé entre deux plots de contact sur une même puce; il peut aussi être soudé entre deux plots de contact appartenant à deux puces adjacentes sur la tranche et être alors scié pendant l'opération de découpage de la tranche en puces individuelles. Lors de l'incorporation de la puce dans une carte, on applique la puce contre l'antenne de manière à mettre en contact le fil soudé avec une extrémité de conducteur d'antenne bobinée ou imprimée.
