ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE METHOD FOR MAKING A FLAT COILED MAGNETIC SUPPORT FOR READ/WRITE MAGNETIC HEADS A method is used to make a flat coiled magnetic support for magnetic read/write heads, using a substrate that has at least one side formed of a magnetic material or designed to be lined with a layer of magnetic material. The method comprises the following steps: - the machining of the said side of the substrate in order to make supporting means for conducting wires, designed to form the coils, and in order to demarcate the future magnetic poles, - the depositing, if necessary, of the said magnetic material, - the depositing, on either side or both sides of the substrate, of connection pins at a rate of two pins per coil, - the positioning of the said conducting wires to form the coils, - the connecting of the ends of the wires of each coil to the corresponding connecting pins, - the coating of the magnetic side of the support with an insulating material, - the machining and polishing of the coated side until 14 the magnetic poles are exposed.
