A method for making a plate-like article, particularly one that includes a fibre-reinforced hydrated matrix containing cement and sand. The method comprises (a) mixing the components together to give a substantially uniform paste; (b) extruding the paste into a strip having substantially the same width as the article; and (c) cutting the strip to the size of the article. The resulting plate-like article is also disclosed.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un article en plaque et plus précisément d'un article comprenant une matrice hydratée contenant du ciment, du sable et renforcée par des fibres. Selon l'invention, le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes: a) on mélange les constituants jusqu'à obtention d'une pâte sensiblement homogène; b) on extrude la pâte sous forme d'une bande d'épaisseur sensiblement égale à celle de l'article; c) on tronçonne la bande aux dimensions de l'article. L'invention propose également un article en forme de plaque obtenu selon le procédé.
