A method for making a stopper. The method includes the step of providing a first tool defining a first tool cavity and a second tool defining a second molding cavity (76). A first plug member having an upper surface and a lower surface also is provided, the upper surface of the first plug member having a concave portion (70). The first plug member is faced in the first cavity such that at least a portion of the lower surface of the first plug member is in contact with the first cavity. The second tool defines a hole therethrough such that the hole (82) provides fluid contact between the second tool cavity and a point exterior to the second tool. A polymeric material is transferred through the hole (82) defined by the second tool into the second cavity (76) defined by the second tool and into the concave portion (70) of the upper surface of the first plug member such that the polymeric material forms a second plug member having an upper surface and a lower surface, the upper surface of the second plug member being defined by the molding surface defined by the second tool. The first plug member and the second plug member define a stopper. The stopper is then removed from the first and second tools.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication d'un bouchon qui consiste à utiliser un premier outil définissant une première cavité destinée à l'outil et un second outil définissant une seconde cavité de moulage (76). L'invention se rapporte également à un premier élément obturateur présentant une surface supérieure et une surface inférieure, ladite surface supérieure de ce premier élément obturateur comportant une partie concave (70). Le premier élément obturateur est placé de face dans la première cavité de sorte qu'au moins une partie de la surface inférieure du premier élément obturateur est en contact avec la première cavité. Le second outil définit un trou (82) traversant qui assure le contact fluidique entre la cavité du second outil et un point extérieur au second outil. Une matière polymère est introduite par le trou (82) défini par le second outil à l'intérieur de la seconde cavité (76) définie par le second outil et à l'intérieur de la partie concave (10) de la surface supérieure du premier élément obturateur de sorte que la matière polymère forme un second élément obturateur doté d'une surface supérieure et d'une surface inférieure, la surface supérieure du second élément obturateur étant définie par la surface de moulage définie par le second outil. Le premier élément obturateur et le second élément obturateur définissent un bouchon. Ce bouchon est alors retiré du premier et du second outil.
