The present invention relates to a method of applying a hot melt adhesive to an absorbent article, such that the article has low autoadhesion, yet maintains excellent attachment properties during use in a consumer's undergarments. This is achieved by selecting the rheological properties of the adhesive and the mechanical properties of the substrate being coated. The adhesive is directly applied to a backsheet layer outer surface, wherein the adhesive has a viscosity of less than about 10,000 centipoise at a temperature of about 130 to about 177 degrees Celsius. The backsheet layer has a tensile strength of at least 5 Newtons per 25 millimeter width of material.
Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant d'appliquer une substance adhésive en fusion sur un article absorbant de telle sorte que ledit article ait un faible pouvoir d'auto-adhésion tout en conservant d'excellentes propriétés de fixation une fois en place dans les sous-vêtements portés par l'utilisateur. Ce résultat est rendu possible grâce à une sélection adéquate des propriétés rhéologiques de l'adhésif et des propriétés mécaniques du substrat sur lequel vient s'appliquer l'adhésif. L'adhésif s'applique directement sur la surface extérieure d'une couche arrière ; il a une viscosité inférieure à environ 10 000 centipoises à une température comprise entre 130 et 177 degrés Celsius environ. La couche arrière a une résistance à la traction d'au moins 5 Newtons par 25 millimètres de largeur de matériau.
