This method for managing collisions in a data exchanging system between portable objects, or badges, and at least a data transmitting-receiving terminal, or boundary, co-operating with a plurality of badges simultaneously present in the terminal operating field. It comprises the following successive steps: a) transmission by the terminal, to said plurality of badges, of all call messages with a probability modulation parameter; b) conditional transmission by the badge, to the terminal, of a message in response to the all call message with a probability, less than 100 %, based on the probability modulation parameter in case of collision, this message in response to the all call containing an identifier particular to the badge; c) reception by the terminal of a response message to the all call and in the absence of collision of the latter message with a message transmitted by another badge, setting up of a specific data communication between terminal and badge and proceeding with data exchange, and resumption of step a) for new iteration; d) otherwise, resumption of step a) for new iteration, optionally with dynamic modification of the probability modulation parameter.
Ce procédé gère les collisions dans un système d'échange de données entre des objects portatifs, ou badges, et au moins un terminal d'émission-réception de données, ou borne, apte à coopérer avec une pluralité de badges simultanément présents dans le champ d'action de la borne. Il comporte les étapes successives suivantes: a) émission par la borne, vers ladite pluralité de badges, de messages d'appel général avec un paramètre de modulation de probabilité; b) émission conditionnelle par le badge, vers la borne, d'un message de réponse à l'appel général avec une probabilité, inférieure à 100 %, fonction du paramètre de modulation de probabilité en cas de collision, ce message de réponse à l'appel général contenant un identificant propre au badge; c) à réception par la borne d'un message de réponse à l'appel général, et en l'absence de collison de ce dernier message avec un message émis par un autre badge, étabilissement d'une liaison de communication de données spéficique entre borne et badge et poursuite de l'échange de données, et retour à l'étape a) pour une nouvelle itération; d) dans le cas contraire, retour à l'étape a) pour une nouvelle itération, avec éventuellement modification dynamique du paramètre de modulation de probabilité.
