In a process for the management of data (D) of an analysis device (1, 100), which data (D) serve for the operation of a further analysis device (100, 1) which is designed so as to be equivalent to the first analysis device (1, 100), it is envisaged that the analysis device (1, 100) newly creates or modifies data (D) on an internal memory medium (21) of the analysis device (1, 100) and the first analysis device (1, 100), during its operation, continuously stores the newly created or modified data (D) in a redundant manner in a non- volatile removable storage medium (23), with the removable storage medium (23) being independent of the internal memory medium (21).
