The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a metal strip with a metal coating for protecting against corrosion, including the steps of: passing the metal strip through a bath of molten metal containing 0.2 to 8 wt % of aluminium and magnesium in the following proportions: 0.1 to 8 wt % of magnesium, for an aluminium content greater than or equal to 0.2 wt % and lower than 4 wt %; or a magnesium content higher than 5 wt % and less than or equal to 8 wt % for an aluminium content greater than or equal to 4 wt % and less than or equal to 8 wt %, and including up to 0.3 wt % of alloy additions, the remainder being zinc and unavoidable impurities; then spin-drying the coated metal strip by means of nozzles spraying a gas on either side of the strip, said gas having a lower oxidising power than that of an atmosphere consisting of 4 vol % of oxygen and 96 vol % of nitrogen; and then passing the strip though a containment area delimited as follows: at the bottom, by the spin-drying line and the upper outer surfaces of said spin drying nozzles; at the top by the upper portion of two containment walls placed on either side of the strip, immediately above said nozzles, with a height of at least 10 cm relative to the spin-drying line; and at the sides, by the side portions of said containment walls, the atmosphere in said containment area having an oxidising power lower than that of an atmosphere containing 4 vol % of oxygen and 96 vol % of nitrogen and higher than that of an atmosphere containing 0.15 vol % of oxygen and 99.85 vol % of nitrogen. The invention also relates to a metal strip that can be produced using said method and to a metal part produced by deforming said strip.
L'invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication d'une bande métallique présentant un revêtement métallique de protection contre la corrosion, comprenant les étapes consistant à : - faire passer la bande métallique dans un bain de métal en fusion comprenant de 0,2 à 8% en poids d'aluminium et du magnésium dans les proportions suivantes : o de 0,1 à 8% en poids de magnésium, pour une teneur en aluminium supérieure ou égale à 0,2% et inférieure à 4% en poids ou o une teneur supérieure à 5% et inférieure ou égale à 8% en poids de magnésium, pour une teneur en aluminium supérieure ou égale à 4% et inférieure ou égale à 8% en poids, et comprenant jusqu'à 0,3% en poids d'éléments d'addition, le complément étant du zinc et des impuretés inévitables, puis - essorer la bande métallique revêtue au moyen de buses projetant un gaz de part et d'autre de la bande, ledit gaz présentant un pouvoir oxydant inférieur à celui d'une atmosphère constituée de 4% en volume d'oxygène et 96% en volume d'azote, puis - à faire passer la bande dans une zone de confinement délimitée : en partie basse par la ligne d'essorage et les faces externes supérieures desdites buses d'essorage, en partie haute par la partie supérieure de deux caissons de confinement placés de part et d'autre de la bande, juste au-dessus desdites buses, et présentant une hauteur d'au moins 10 cm par rapport à la ligne d'essorage, et sur les côtés, par les parties latérales desdits caissons de confinement, l'atmosphère régnant dans ladite zone de confinement présentant un pouvoir oxydant inférieur à celui d'une atmosphère constituée de 4% en volume d'oxygène et 96% en volume d'azote et supérieur à celui d'une atmosphère constituée de 0,15% en volume d'oxygène et 99,85% en volume d'azote, ainsi qu'une bande métallique pouvant être obtenue par ce procédé et qu'une pièce métallique obtenue par déformation de cette bande.
