For manufacturing the composite automotive trim part a flowable skin material is applied onto a first mould surface (4), a flowable substrate material is applied onto a second mould surface (7), the mould (5, 8) is closed and a foamable material (3) is applied in the gap between the flexible skin layer (1) and the rigid substrate layer (2). Both the flexible skin layer and the rigid substrate layer can be manufactured by spraying a polyurethane reaction mixture. Advantages are that no positioning of the rigid substrate layer for of the flexible skin layer is required and that especially the rigid substrate layer doesn~t have to be manufactured separately, so that the production costs are reduced and the quality of the trim part is increased. The sealing of the mould cavity for producing the foam layer is achieved by providing a sufficiently thick layer of flexible skin material in the zone of contact with the substrate layer. Installation and tool costs can be reduced by separating both mould halves and producing the skin layer and the substrate layer along different production lines.
La présente invention a trait à un procédé pour la fabrication d'une pièce composite d'habillage d'automobile comprenant l'application d'un matériau de peau fluide sur une première surface de moule (4), d'un matériau de substrat fluide sur une deuxième surface de moule (7), suivie de la fermeture du moule (5, 8) et de l'application d'un matériau gonflable dans l'espace entre la couche de peau souple (1) et la couche de substrat rigide (2). Il est possible de fabriquer tant la couche de peau souple que la couche de substrat rigide par la pulvérisation d'un mélange réactionnel de polyuréthanne. Le procédé est avantageux en ce qu'il n'est pas nécessaire de positionner la couche de substrat rigide ni la couche de peau souple et notamment d'effectuer une fabrication séparée de la couche de substrat rigide, de sorte que les coûts de production sont réduits et la qualité de la pièce d'habillage est améliorée. Le scellement de la cavité du moule pour la production de la couche de mousse est assuré par la réalisation d'une couche suffisamment épaisse du matériau de peau souple dans la zone de contact avec la couche de substrat. Les coûts d'outillage et d'installation peuvent être réduits par la séparation des deux demi-moules et la production de la couche de peau et de la couche de substrat sur des lignes de production différentes.
