ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a simplified method for manufacturing a magnetic door catch, in which a body having right and left supports and a leg portion is moulded from a thermoplastic synthetic resin, the right and left supports being respectively provided with mounting arbors for a magnet, the supports are expanded apart so as to allow insertion of the magnet and so as to stretch fil- lets connecting the leg portion to the supports, and the material of the moulding is cooled so that its shrinkage pulls the supports into a position holding the magnet with the arbors entering opposite ends of a hole in the magnet.
