ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for manufacturing a can-like container's cover, wherein the cover has injection molded handle which may be raised to thereby pierce the container cover, and peeled back to allow access to the contents of the container to which the container cover is applied. The method for manufacturing the container cover comprises forming a second resin layer on a first thermally meltable resin layer on a multi-layer sheet by injection molding. The second resin layer includes an opening part having a handle, and a peripheral part, each part being separated from each other by a slot. An area on the first layer of the multi-layer slot which is to be in contact with the handle is firstly coated with a treatment which allows the handle to be readily peeled of the multi-layer sheet. The peripheral part of the second resin layer is injection molded using a first gate, and the opening part is injection molded using a second gate.
