A method and apparatus for manufacturing an expanded mesh sheet involves forming a plurality of slits on a strip at a predetermined pitch to simultaneously form a plurality of strip-shaped lift portions and connecting portion for connecting the strip-shaped lift portions to each other in a lattice pattern. The slits are each intermittently formed in the longitudinal direction of the strip, and the adjacent slits in the widthwise direction of the strip are shifted relative to each other in the longitudinal direction of the strip. Finally, the strip is expanded in the widthwise direction thereof.
Méthode et appareil pour fabriquer une feuille à mailles agrandie comprenant la formation de nombreuses fentes sur une bande selon un écartement déterminé pour former simultanément de nombreuses parties de bande soulevées raccordées les unes aux autres par des parties de raccord pour former un motif de grille. Les fentes sont formées par intermittence dans le sens de la longueur de la bande et les fentes adjacentes dans le sens de la largeur sont déplacées les unes par rapport aux autres dans le sens de la longueur de la bande. Enfin, la bande est agrandie dans le sens de la largeur.
