One method for making a laminate material comprising a first surface layer comprising resorcinol arylate polyester chain members and a second surface layer suitable for bonding to a substrate, comprises co-extruding a polymeric first surface layer material and a polymeric second surface layer material through a die and into the first nip of a calender roll stack comprising a first surface roll and a second surface roll that define the first nip, to form the laminate material. A nip load in the first nip of greater than or equal to about 400 N/cm can be applied to the laminate, and the laminate material can be collected from the roll stack. The first roll and the second roll can each have a surface smoothness of less than or equal to about 5 micrometers and temperatures of about 40 ~C to about 150 ~C.
La présente invention a pour objet une méthode de fabrication d~un matériau laminé. Ledit matériau comprend une première couche de surface contenant entre autres des chaînes de polyester arylate de résorcinol, ainsi qu~une seconde couche de surface pouvant se lier chimiquement à un substrat. Ladite méthode consiste en la co-extrusion à travers une filière d~un matériau polymère entrant dans la composition de la première couche de surface et d'un matériau polymère entrant dans la composition de la seconde couche de surface. Les matériaux ainsi extrudés sont ensuite introduits dans la première ligne de contact d'une calandre, entre un premier rouleau et un second rouleau qui délimitent la première ligne de contact, afin d~obtenir le matériau laminé. Un couple de laminage d~au moins 400 N/cm peut être appliqué au laminé sur la première ligne de contact, et le matériau laminé peut être récupéré en sortie de calandre. Les premier et second rouleaux doivent chacun présenter une rugosité de surface d~au maximum 5 micromètres et une température comprise entre environ 40 °C et environ 150 °C.
