Disclosed are: a method for measuring equol in a biological sample by an immunoassay; a kit for the measurement; and a method for determining the equol production ability of a subject. The measurement method is characterized by using S-equol as at least one antigen selected from the group consisting of a standard antigen to be used for the production of a calibration curve and a labeling antigen that competes with equol in the biological sample. The kit is characterized by including S-equol as at least one antigen selected from the group consisting of the standard antigen and the labeling antigen. The determination method is characterized by comprising a step of measuring equol in a biological sample derived from a subject who has ingested soybean isoflavone by an immunoassay using S-equol as at least one antigen selected from the group consisting of the standard antigen and the labeling antigen and a step of determining the equol production ability of the subject based on the measurement value of equol obtained in the previous step.
L'invention porte sur un procédé pour mesurer de l'équol dans un échantillon biologique par un immuno-essai ; sur un nécessaire pour la mesure, et sur un procédé pour déterminer la capacité de production d'équol d'un sujet. Le procédé de mesure est caractérisé par l'utilisation de S-équol en tant qu'au moins un antigène choisi dans le groupe constitué par un antigène standard devant être utilisé pour la production d'une courbe d'étalonnage et un antigène de marquage qui rivalise avec l'équol dans un échantillon biologique. Le nécessaire est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend du S-équol en tant qu'au moins un antigène choisi dans le groupe constitué par l'antigène standard et l'antigène de marquage. Le procédé de détermination est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une étape de mesure de l'équol, dans un échantillon biologique provenant d'un sujet qui a ingéré de l'isoflavone de soja, par un immuno-essai à l'aide de S-équol en tant qu'au moins un antigène choisi dans le groupe constitué par l'antigène standard et l'antigène de marquage, et une étape de détermination de la capacité de production d'équol du sujet en fonction de la valeur de mesure d'équol obtenue dans l'étape précédente.
