The invention concerns a method for modelling the distribution of pores in a porous sample of variable porosity, making it possible to conduct laboratory studies of the modelled medium with regard to fluids. The porosity of the porous medium is modelled according to one or more sectioning surfaces by networks of intersecting channels, the nodes of which constitute pores, the size of these channels expressing physical properties of the medium and being selected among one or more discrete distributions of channel sizes. To model the porosity of a heterogeneous sample presenting very different areas of porosity, several discrete distributions of channels are preferably used, these distributions being disjointed or not, so as to model areas of low permeability with one and areas of higher permeability with the other. The geometric model thus formed is transposed into a physical model by using, for example, a laser guided by a previously established geometric model, in order to form a material that is reactive to light, a network of channels translating the porosity of the sample according to one or more sectioning surfaces and in order to connect them to each other. L'invention concerne une méthode pour modéliser la distribution des pores d'un échantillon poreux de porosité variable, permettant de réaliser en laboratoire des études sur le comportement du milieu modélisé à l'égard de fluides On modélise la porosité du milieu poreux suivant une ou plusieurs surfaces de sectionnement pal des réseaux de canaux entrecroisés dont les noeuds constituent des pores, la taille de ces canaux traduisant des propriétés physiques du milieu et étant choisies parmi une ou plusieurs distributions discrètes de tailles de canaux. Pour modéliser la porosité d'un échantillon hétérogène présentant des zones de porosité très différentes, on utilise de préférence plusieurs distributions discrètes de canaux, ces distributions étant ou non disjointes, de façon à modéliser avec l'une, des zones de faible perméabilité et avec l'autre, des zones de plus forte perméabilité. On transpose le modèle géométrique formé en un modèle physique en utilisant pal exemple un laser piloté d'après un modèle géométrique préalablement établi, pour former sur un matériau réagissant à l'action de la lumière, un réseau de canaux traduisant la porosité de l'échantillon suivant une ou plusieurs surfaces de sectionnement et pour les raccorder les uns aux autres. Applications notamment dans la modélisation de roches poreuses prélevées notamment dans des gisements d'hydrocarbures.
