The present invention relates to methods and compositions for increasing seed yield of a plant. The methods comprise expression of a cytokinin oxidase in the aleurone and/or embryo of a seed. The invention also relates to vectors comprising a nucleic acid encoding a cytokinin oxidase that is operably linked to a promoter capable of driving expression in the aleurone and/or embryo of a seed, and to host cells, transgenic cells and plants comprising such sequences. The use of these sequences for increasing yield is also provided.
L'invention concerne des procédés et des compositions destinées à accroître le rendement grainier d'une plante. Les procédés comprennent l'expression d'une oxydase de cytokinine dans l'aleurone et/ou l'embryon d'une graine. L'invention concerne également des vecteurs comprenant un acide nucléique codant une oxydase de cytokinine qui est liée coopérante à un promoteur capable de commander l'expression dans l'aleurone et/ou l'embryon d'une graine ; elle concerne en outre des cellules hôtes, des cellules transgéniques et des plantes comprenant de telles séquences. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de ces séquences en vue d'accroître le rendement.
