A process for molding hydrophilic contact lenses comprising the steps of providing lens forming liquid comprising hydrophilic monomer mixed with solvent and polymerizing the liquid between two mold halves. The improvement comprises substantially removing the solvent by evaporation at temperature no higher than about 100 degrees C.

Procédé de moulage de lentilles de contact hydrophiles consistant à utiliser un liquide de formation de lentilles, comprenant un monomère hydrophile mélangé avec un solvant, et à polymériser le liquide entre deux moitiés de moule. Le perfectionnement consiste à enlever substantiellement le solvant par évaporation à une température ne dépassant pas 100 C.
