A method for making a garment having a lofted assembly having an inner laminated support fabric and an outer panel and the garment produced are provided. The method includes the steps of positioning a support fabric on a lofted material; laminating the support fabric to the lofted material to form a lofted assembly; positioning the lofted assembly in a molding apparatus having at least a first mold and a second mold, closing together the first mold and the second mold thereby sandwiching the lofted assembly therebetween and while maintaining a uniform preset gap between said first mold and the second mold so that the inherent loft characteristics of the lofted assembly are substantially preserved. Then the outer panel is stitched to an outer side of said lofted assembly.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un vêtement doté d'un ensemble gonflant ayant un tissu support laminé interne et un panneau externe, ainsi qu'un vêtement ainsi fabriqué. Ledit procédé consiste notamment à poser un tissu support sur le matériau gonflant; à laminer le tissu support sur le matériau gonflant de façon à former un ensemble gonflant; à poser l'ensemble gonflant dans un appareil de moulage doté d'au moins un premier moule et un second moule, à fermer le premier et le second moules ensemble, qui prennent, entre eux, en sandwich, l'ensemble gonflant et, en maintenant entre les deux moules un espace prédéfini uniforme, on sauvegarde sensiblement les caractéristiques de gonflant inhérentes de l'ensemble gonflant. Le panneau externe est ensuite lié à un côté externe dudit ensemble gonflant.
