This invention relates generally to methods for monitoring directional flood front movement during oil recovery and more specifically to methods for monitoring flood front movement of flooding agent injected into subsurface formations. The method comprises detecting physical properties of subsurface formation and injection of a flooding agent into said formation through at least one injection well thus forcing reservoir oil movement toward at least one production well. The flooding agent is a highly dispersed gas-liquid mixture having size of gas bubbles not exceeding an average diameter of the pores of said oil-bearing reservoir. The method further comprises detecting the same physical properties of the formation at the same area after flooding and monitoring the flood front profile by registrating changes in the physical properties of the formation caused by the arrival of said flood front.
La présente invention concerne généralement des procédés pour surveiller un mouvement directionnel de front dengorgement au cours de lextraction de pétrole et plus particulièrement des procédés pour surveiller un mouvement de front dengorgement dun agent dengorgement injecté dans des formations souterraines. Le procédé consiste à détecter des propriétés physiques de formations souterraines et à injecter un agent dengorgement dans ladite formation via au moins un puits dinjection pour ainsi forcer un mouvement du pétrole du réservoir vers au moins un puits de production. Lagent dengorgement est un mélange gaz-liquide très dispersé dont la taille des bulles de gaz ne dépasse pas le diamètre moyen des pores dudit réservoir pétrolifère. Le procédé consiste en outre à détecter les mêmes propriétés physiques de la formation dans la même zone après lengorgement et à surveiller le profil de front dengorgement en enregistrant des changements des propriétés physiques de la formation entraînées par larrivée dudit front dengorgement.
