The invention relates to a method of filtering a fluid. The method according to the invention is characterised in that after filtering a contaminated fluid, which causes the formation of a filter cake, a substantially non- contaminated fluid is fed through the filter cake and filter at varying flux or at varying driving force. At the same time the necessary driving force or the obtained flux, respectively, are measured. The measured value and the respective value setting are compared with at least one standard set of data and on the basis of this comparison the fouling status of the fluid to be filtered, the filter and the filter cake is determined. The method according to the invention makes it possible to accurately determine characteristics of a fluid to be filtered. This may be realised by simply varying the flux and measuring the driving force at different flux values, or vice versa.

La présente invention a trait à un procédé de filtration d'un fluide. Le procédé selon l'invention se caractérise en ce que suite à la filtration d'un fluide contaminé, qui entraîne la formation d'un gâteau de filtration, un fluide sensiblement non contaminé est alimenté à travers le gâteau de filtration et le filtre en un flux variable ou à une force d'entraînement variable. Simultanément on mesure la force d'entraînement et le flux obtenu respectivement. La valeur mesurée est la valeur de réglage respective sont comparés avec au moins un ensemble de données standard et sur la base de cette comparaison on détermine l'état d'encrassement du fluide à filtrer, du filtre et du gâteau de filtre. Le procédé selon l'invention permet la détermination exacte des caractéristiques d'un fluide à filtrer. Cela peut être réalisé par la simple variation de flux et de la mesure de la force d'entraînement à différentes valeurs de flux, ou inversement.
