The invention relates to a method for obtaining a structure made from a porous ceramic material containing at least 95% silicon carbide SiC, said method being characterised in that the structure is obtained from a mixture of SiC grains comprising at least: a first fraction of .alpha.-SiC grains having a median diameter of less than 5 micrometers, a second fraction of .alpha.-SiC grains having a median diameter which is at least twice that of the first fraction of .alpha.-SiC grains and is greater than or equal to 5 micrometers, and a fraction of .beta.-SiC grains or at least one precursor of .beta.-SiC grains. The invention also relates to the resulting porous structure.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé d'obtention d'une structure faite d'un matériau céramique poreux comprenant au moins 95% de carbure de silicium SiC, ledit procédé étant caractérisé en ce que ladite structure est obtenu à partir d'un mélange de grains de SiC comprenant au moins: une première fraction de grains de .alpha.-SiC dont le diamètre médian est inférieur à 5 microns, une deuxième fraction de grains de .alpha.-SiC dont le diamètre médian est au moins deux fois supérieur à celui de la première fraction de grains de .alpha.-SiC et dont le diamètre médian est supérieur ou égal à 5 microns, une fraction de grains de .beta.-SiC ou d'au moins un précurseur de grains de .beta.-SiC. L'invention se rapporte également à la structure poreuse obtenue selon le procédé.
