The invention concerns a method for obtaining a plant having a modified amount of ASR protein, providing it with enhanced resistance to water stress compared to a non-transformed plant, comprising steps which consist in: transforming at least a plant cell with a vector, containing an expression cassette including a nucleotide sequence coding for an ASR protein or inhibiting the expression of an ASR protein; culturing the resulting transformed cell so as to generate a plant containing in its genome said expression cassette.
Cette invention concerne un procédé d'obtention d'une plante présentant une quantité modifée de protéine ASR, lui conférant une meilleure résistance au stress hydrique par rapport à une plante non transformée, comprenant les étapes consistant à: transformer au moins une cellule de plante avec un vecteur, contenant une cassette d'expression comprenant une séquence nucléotidique codant pour une protéine ASR ou bloquant l'expression d'une protéine ASR; cultiver la cellule ainsi transformée de manière à générer une plante contenant dans son génome ladite cassette d'expression.
