A computer implemented method for on-line determination of concentration in an HF alkylation process catalyst stream containing HF acid, ASO, water and optionally an additive which suppresses the vapor pressure of HF acid. The method employs near-infrared spectroscopy coupled with chemometric data analysis. T'he data analysis uses a partial least squares regression technique which determines unknown concentrations based on spectral calibration data. In use, an absorbance spectrum of material is obtained, e.g. from a slipstream taken from the process alkylation catalyst stream, and the detected spectrum is mathematically analyzed with the aid of the computer to simultaneously predict concentration of HF acid ASO, water and optionally the additive which suppresses the vapor pressure of HF acid.
La présente invention concerne un procédé informatique permettant la détermination en ligne de concentrations dans un flux de catalyseur pour processus d'alkylation de l'acide fluorhydrique renfermant un tel acide, une huile soluble dans l'acide (ASO), de l'eau et éventuellement un additif destiné à supprimer la pression de vapeur de l'acide fluorhydrique. Ce procédé fait appel à la spectroscopie en infrarouge proche associée à une analyse chimiométrique des données. Cette analyse des données, du type à régression partielle par les moindres carrés, sert à déterminer des concentrations inconnues en fonction de données spectrales d'étalonnage. En pratique, on obtient un spectre d'absorbance, notamment à partir d'un flux lamellaire prélevé dans le flux du catalyseur utilisé pour l'alkylation, le spectre détecté étant soumis à une analyse mathématique assistée par ordinateur pour prédire simultanément la concentration d'acide fluorhydrique, d'ASO, d'eau et éventuellement de l'additif utilisé pour supprimer la pression de vapeur de l'acide fluorhydrique.
