In order to operate non-contact identification media RF-IM in a system having contact applications C-App for contact cards C-IM, an initialized converter module C-RF is interconnected as a write/read station. Said converter module executes, on the one hand, a non-contact communication K-RF with initialized non-contact identification media RF-IM and, on the other hand, a contact communication K-C on a contact card interface S to a host computer H or to an application computer App-uP for communicating with a contact application C-App of the system. The converter module translates the non-contact communication K- RF with regard to communication rules and information I-RF into a contact communication K-C with contact information I-C and vice versa. This permits a particularly simple and rational introduction of non-contact identification media RF-IM into existing contact card systems and installations.

Pour exploiter des supports d'identification sans contact RF-IM dans un système avec des applications contact C-App pour des cartes de contact C-IM, il est prévu d'intercaler un module de conversion C-RF initialisé comme poste d'écriture/de lecture. Ce module de conversion effectue d'une part une communication sans contact K-RF avec des supports d'identification sans contact initialisés et d'autre part, une communication contact K-C sur une interface pour cartes de contact S en direction d'un ordinateur principal H ou d'un calculateur d'application App-uP pour communiquer avec une application contact C-App du système et le module de conversion traduit la communication sans contact K-RF en ce qui concerne les règles de communication et les informations contact I-C, en une communication contact K-C avec des informations contact I-C et inversement. Cette mesure permet d'introduire de manière particulièrement simple et rationnelle des supports d'identification sans contact RF-IM dans des systèmes et des installations de cartes de contact existants.
