The invention concerns a method for the pre-sulphuration of catalysts with metal oxide base, for hydro-treating hydrocarbon feedstocks, which consists in using at least a tertiary mercaptan (for instance tertiododecylmercaptan) as sulphuring agent. This tertiary mercaptan can be used on its own or combined with another sulphuring compound. The pre-sulphuration can be carried out on-site or off-site.

Pour la présulfuration de catalyseurs à base d'oxydes métalliques, destinés notamment à l'hydrotraitement de charges hydrocarbonées. on utilise au moins un mercaptan tertiaire (par exemple le tertiododédylmercaptan) comme agent sulfurant.
