The method involves: a) dissolving a compound (C) in a fluid (A) to obtain a solution (A); b) thermostatizing said solution (A) at a temperature ranging between -50~ C and 200~ C; c) adding a fluid (B) to said solution (A) until pressure (P) is attained, whereby the invention is characterized in that the fluid (B) at pressure (P) is miscible with said solution (A) and acts as co- solvent to form solution (AB) and d) reducing pressure of said solution (AB) so that precipitation of said compound (C) will not take place. The method makes it possible to obtain medium-size particles of less than 20 µm, generally less than 10 µm, with a narrow size distribution ranging between 1 and 100 µm, generally between 1 and 20 µm, from a solution and not from a mixture, which contains the compound to be precipitated.

L'invention concerne un procédé de précipitation de particules solides finement divisées, consistant a) à dissoudre un composé (C) dans un fluide (A) pour obtenir une solution (A) ; b) à thermostater ladite solution (A) à une température comprise entre -50 ·C et 200 ·C ; c) à ajouter ladite solution (A) dans un fluide (B) jusqu'à obtenir une pression (P), le procédé se caractérisant en ce que ledit fluide (B) à une pression (P) est miscible avec ladite solution (A) et agit comme co-solvant pour former une solution (AB) ; et d) à réduire la pression de ladite solution (AB) pour qu'il y ait précipitation dudit composé (C). Ce procédé permet d'obtenir des particules de taille moyenne inférieure à 20 µm, globalement inférieure à 10 µm, avec une distribution étroite en tailles comprise entre 1 et 100 µm, globalement entre 1 et 20 µm, à partir d'une solution, et non d'un mélange, contenant le composé à précipiter.
