The invention concerns a method for preparing a 4-alkoxycarbonylamino-1-benzyl-4-phenylpiperidine of formula (I) by hydrolysis of 1-benzyl-4-cyano-4-phenylpiperidine (II) in acid medium and treatment of 1-benzyl-4-phenyl-4-piperidinecarboxamide (III) thus obtained with bromine in the presence of an alkaline alcoholate. The invention also concerns a method for preparing 4-methylamino-4-phenylpiperidine from said compound (II).

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une 4-alcoxycarbonylamino-1-benzyl-4-phénylpipéridine de formule (I) par hydrolyse de la 1-benzyl-4-cyano-4-phénylpipéridine (II) en milieu acide et traitement du 1-benzyl-4-phényl-4-pipéridinecarboxamide (III) ainsi obtenu avec du brome en présence d'un alcoolate alcalin. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation de la 4-méthylamino-4-phénylpipéridine à partir du composé (II).
