A method for preparing a methanol reforming catalyst of copper-zinc-aluminum type through the co-precipitation method, which comprises utilizing a copper compound, a zinc compound and aluminum hydroxide, mixing these compounds with an alkaline material to thereby form a precipitate, and burning the precipitate, and a method which further comprises subjecting the resulting burned product to a hydrogenation treatment. The preparing method provides a catalyst for reforming methanol which has high activity, high heat resistance and long life, and specifically, can be used for a long period of time even under a reaction condition of 300~C or higher.

La présente invention concerne une technique de préparation d'un catalyseur destiné à la conversion du méthanol du type cuivre-zinc-aluminium par une technique de co-précipitation. Cette technique consiste à utiliser un composé de cuivre, un composé de zinc et un hydroxyde d'aluminium, à mélanger ces composés avec un matériau alcalin de façon à former un précipité, à brûler ce précipité et à soumettre le produit brûlé résultant à un traitement d'hydrogénation. Cette technique de préparation permet d'obtenir un catalyseur destiné à la conversion du méthanol hautement actif, de résistante thermique et de durée de vie élevées. Plus spécifiquement, ce catalyseur peut être utilisé pendant une grande période, même dans des conditions de réaction à 300?0¿ ou plus.
