The present invention relates to a method for preparing differentiated avian cells from stem cells in culture. Genes involved in maintaining the pluripotency of avian stem cells were identified and cloned. By inhibiting the expression of these genes in stem cells, the latter lose their pluripotency characteristics and enter into differentiation. These differentiated cells obtained in vitro can serve as host cells for pathogens, in particular viruses, and can thus be used for the production of antiviral vaccines.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation de cellules aviaires différenciées, à partir de cellules souches en culture. Des gènes impliqués dans le maintien de la pluripotence des cellules souches aviaires ont été identifiés et clonés. En inhibant l'expression de ces gènes dans les cellules souches, celles-ci perdent leurs caractéristiques de pluripotence et s'engagent dans une voie de différenciation. Ces cellules différenciées obtenues in vitro peuvent servir de cellules hôtes pour des pathogènes, notamment des virus, et être ainsi utilisées pour la production de vaccins anti-viraux.
