METHOD FOR PREPARING DRY LITHOGRAPHIC PLATES Abstract of the Disclosure A dry planographic printing plate suitable for "waterless lithography" includes a substrate having a surface thereof coated with a silicone rubber containing layer that has a surface energy low enough that the silicone rubber containing layer will not remove litho- graphic printing ink from a rotating inking roller. A photo-responsive diazo compound may overly the silicone rubber containing layer and may be a salt of the para- formaldehyde condensate of diazotized para-aminodiphenyl amine.
