The invention concerns a method for obtaining halogenated hydrocarbons containing at least 3 carbon atoms by reacting a haloalkane with an olefin in the presence of a copper organic compound as catalyst, of a solvent and/or a co-catalyst, thereby obtaining 1,1,1,3,3-pentachloropropane in smooth conditions with a high efficiency.

Des hydrocarbures halogénés comprenant au moins 3 atomes de carbone sont obtenus par réaction entre un haloalcane et une oléfine en présence d'un composé organique du cuivre comme catalyseur, d'un solvant et/ou d'un cocatalyseur. Le 1,1,1,3,3-pentachloropropane peut ainsi être obtenu dans des conditions douces avec un bon rendement.
