ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE High molecular weight epoxy resins containing hydrolyzed epoxy groups are prepared by reacting (A) a low molecular weight epoxy resin, and (B) a hydroxyl- containing compound in the presence of (C) a catalyst therefor and (D) an excess quantity of water and there- after removing the excess water.
