ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Pteridine derivatives of the general formula: Image wherein, R1 is NH2 or ON, R2 is NH2 or NNR5, wherein R5 is lower alkyl, R3 is N or lower alkyl, m is an integer up to 4, n is an in- teger 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, R4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, halogen or tri- fluormethyl, and R7 is H or lower alkyl, in L, D, or D,L-form, are prepared by reacting the corresponding carboxcylic acid compound, protected at R3, with a compound of general formula: Image wherein R'7 is lower alkyl, followed by deprotection and hydrolysis, if required.
