- 5 - A b s t r a c t Method for preparing watertight and fireproof cable ducts through walls and ceilings, consisting of a hollow tube of specified length whose frontal areas will be sealed after all cables have been pulled through and which will be filled with an age-hardening, pourable compound consisting of two components. The cables will be inserted into shaped parts, spacing the cables, in the planes of the cable duct's frontal areas. The remaining spaces between the wall of the cable duct and the spacers are filled with pieces of the same material. A method which is simplified, compared to the state of the art, consists of the use of modules made of compressed fibrous insulating material to construct the frontal walls. Modules made of long-fiber fiberglass insulating material or of rock wool can be used. Illustration
