Method For Preparing [.gamma.-32Pl Labeled Nucleotides By Enzymatic Conversion of Dihydroxyacetone Phosphate to 3-Phosphoglycerate Abstract Carrier-free [32p] inorganic phosphate is incorporated into the .gamma.-phosphate of ATP and other nucleoside triphosphates by a series of enzymatic reactions in the presence of dihydroxyacetone phosphate, NAD', and their corresponding nucleoside diphosphates. NAD' is preferably regenerated by malate dehydrogenase and oxaloacetate. The resulting [.gamma.-32P] nucleotides are useful as reagents for analytical determinations. [.gamma.-32P] ATP is also useful for preparing [.alpha.-32P]-labeled nucleotides having high specific activity.
